Professional Bull Riders Heats Up the Air Waves This Weekend

The toughest sport on dirt debuts on ESPN2 on Sunday

PUEBLO, Colo. (August 7, 2008) - The Professional Bull Riders, Inc., (PBR) will heat up the air waves all weekend with sizzling rides and wrecks. Sunday marks the debut of the PBR on ESPN2 with the PBR Del Mar Team Shootout presented by Ford Trucks, and Saturday and Sunday showcases more Built Ford Tough Series presented by Wrangler (BFTS) action from Glendale, Ariz., on VERSUS.

The Team Shootout airs on Sunday, Aug. 10, at 4 p.m. EST and features the 20 best bull riders in the world partnered with a teammate of their choosing. The Del Mar (Calif.) event is the first of this new series of competitions. Future Shootouts will take place in Paso Robles, Calif., Molalla, Ore., and Guthrie, Okla.

The top ten teams from the four Shootout stops will then compete at the PBR Team Shootout Finals on Aug. 28 in Pueblo, Colo.

All Team Shootout events will be televised on ESPN or ESPN2.

Below is the list of teams competing in the Del Mar PBR Team Shoot Out presented by Ford Trucks:

Team Xtreme- Travis Briscoe (Edgewood, N.M.) and Cole Taylor (Sayre, Okla.)
Team Nunes- Renato Nunes (Buritama, SP, Brazil) and Marcelo Nunes (Buritama, SP, Brazil)
Team Oliveria- Valdiron de Oliveira (Aparecida de Goiania, GO, Brazil) and Pim Rosa (Sao Paulo, Brazil)
Team Jeffrey Scott Fine Magnetics- Luke Snyder (Raymore, Mo.) and Cory Rasch (Clarksville, Tenn.)
Team Coleman- Ross Coleman (Molalla, Ore.) and Matt Bohon (Cole Camp, Mo.)
Team Landreneau- Nick Landreneau (Sulphur, La.) and Ben Jones (Goulburn, NSW, AUS)
Team Kershaw Knives- Guilherme Marchi (Leme, SP, Brazil) and Juliano Marchi (Bariri, SP, Brazil)
Team Express- Ednei Caminhas (Presidente Alves, SP, Brazil) and Arnobo Ferreira (Guaruni D’Oeste, SP, Brazil)
Team Arageo- Robson Arageo (Sergipe, Brazil) and Helton Barbosa (Douradina, PR, Brazil)
Team Elliott- Dustin Elliott (North Platte, Neb.) and Wesley Silcox (Santaquin, Utah).

PBR action continues throughout the weekend on VERSUS with all of the top rides and wrecks from Glendale, Ariz. The Built Ford Tough Invitational presented by Cooper Tires will air on Saturday, Aug. 9, at 8 p.m. EST with the second and championship rounds airing on Sunday, Aug. 10, at 8 p.m. EST. As the race for the 2008 PBR World Championship heats up, continuous coverage of Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) events will air on VERSUS on a regular schedule.
