New York, NY (January 10, 2010) - Round 3 in New York City looks much different than Round 2, even though many of the same bulls are involved. For a repeat of last night’s 22 qualified rides, a lot of guys are going to have to beat the odds. There just aren’t as many favorable pairings here for the riders.

Right off the bat, we’ll take a look at the guys who have ridden two bulls, and see what we have:

Shane Proctor on Walk the Line:
This is what you call drawing right when you are in the lead. Even though Walk the Line hasn’t been producing exceptional scores in his last few outs, he is still worth 86 to 88 points. He is historically more favorable for left-handed riders, but I think I saw where he went away from Briscoe’s hand last night. He’s just such a smooth bull that he is really a great draw for anyone.

Travis Briscoe on Rapid Reaction:
This is a bull that by the numbers has been great away from the Built Ford Tough Series and not as impressive on the big stage. That said, his best showing on the BFTS came in Round 1 With Kasey Hayes. He doesn’t have a lot of history, but does have a 75-percent buckoff rate, so Travis may have a tougher task than he has faced here so far. He has had two bulls that suited him very well, and this one could make or break this event for him.

Skeeter Kingsolver on Bandolero:
Bandolero is unridden, but this is only his third event. He tossed Kody Lostroh Last Night, and Aaron Roy in Baltimore, so to stay near the top, Kingsolver will have to be a pioneer.

Dustin Elliott on Sonny’s Stampeder:
A new bull has no history at all. Sometimes that can be good, sometimes not so much.

McKennon Wimberly on Little Mr. T:
This is certainly enough bull to make some noise on, but he has been around a while and is seldom ridden. Cody Campbell beat the odds on him last night and went 87.75 points.

J.B. Mauney on Backyard Big Rig:
These two have met before, and Mauney hit the ground then, but this is a great bull for J.B. and he should get the whistle and stay near the top going into the short go.

Ross Coleman on Tahonta’s Shadow:
Tahonta’s Shadow is the kind of bull that doesn’t have a preference for what type of guys he throws off. Usually when you see a bull like this, he just throws off everyone, but this one does get ridden about a third of the time. If Ross can weather him, it could be worth a round win. Shadow has been worth around 90 points the last four times he’s been ridden.

Reese Cates on White Trash:
Canter won Round 2 on this bull, so he is a good draw. Statistically, he has been much nicer to left-handed riders, and in fact, they are the only kind of riders who have made the whistle on him. So, Reese will need to break new ground here.

Luke Snyder on Cooter Brown:
Cooter Brown is making his PBR debut here, so we know nothing about him.

The Spoilers
These guys have ridden one, and stand a good chance to ride another one tonight:

Valdiron de Oliveira on Live Wire:
Last time they met it was for 89.25 points. Marchi took him for 86.25 in Baltimore.

Josh Koschel on Bird Creek:
Should be a qualified ride.

Austin Meier on The Juice:
Should fit Austin pretty well. This bull has yet to buck off a left-handed rider at a BFTS event.

Kody Lostroh on Jeffrey Scott’s Buckle Man:
Ok, so he hasn’t ridden one, but he will ride this one!

Other guys who have a good shot to get in on the action tonight include:

Kasey Hayes on Flashpoint
Brian Canter on The Iceman
Sean Willingham on Bad Blood
Zack Brown on Legacy
Brendon Clark on Clam Digger
Renato Nunes on Smokin’ Aces
Ryan McConnel on Black Tornado
