
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (March 6, 2010) - Riding Hot Stuff (D&H Cattle Company) for 89.75 points, Robson Palermo (Rio Branco, Acre, Brazil) won Round 2 and $2,730 and moved into the overall lead at the 2010 Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Invitational on Saturday at the Sprint Center.
Palermo has 178.75 points heading into Sunday while Friday’s leader Ned Cross (Midland, Ore.) is second with 178.00 points and Jody Newberry (Ada, Okla.) is third with 174.25 points. Cross and Newberry each won $1,560 in Round 2 after splitting second and third with 88.75 points each. Cross rode Buffalo Hump (Hebert Bucking Bulls/Barry & Aliceson) and Newberry covered Flash Point (Teague Bucking Bulls, LLC).
Mike Lee (Decatur, Texas) was fourth in Round 2 after riding I’ll Make You Famous (Kooper Branum & Gene Baker) for 88.00 points and Josh Koschel (Greeley, Colo.) finished fifth with 87.50 points on Dirty Duty (D&H Cattle Company).
Austin Meier (Kinta, Okla.) is fourth in the overall event standings with 173.75 points while defending PBR World Champion Kody Lostroh (Longmont, Colo.) is fifth with 173.00 points. Meier rode Stiffler (Boyd/Floyd Bull Company) for 85 points in Round 2 and Lostroh scored 85.75 points on Big Coyote (Dakota Rodeo/Chad Berger/Walsh Farms).
The third round and the Built Ford Tough Championship Round will be Sunday at 2 p.m. CT. Fans who are not able to make it to the Sprint Center can watch the action on VERSUS at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday.
