Down To The Last Round
The PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals event roared through Las Vegas, NV, 10/30/09 - 11/8/09. Kody Lostroh came into the event at first place in the standings and was essentially matched round for round by JB Mauney, who moved up quickly to the second place position to challenge Kody. After the Championship Round on 11/8, only 594 points separated the two competitors -- the slimmest margin of victory in PBR history.
During the 2009 PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals, Kody took two consecutive round wins and split one other round win. Additionally, Kody finished second in the overall average after riding seven of eight bulls for a total of 624 points. Overall, Kody totaled 16,640 points over the entire 2009 season while earning $1,601,625 in prize money.
Nearly A Clean Sweep Of The Top Six
With the exception of the second place spot, competitors wearing Wrangler on their sleeve occupied all six top positions in the final World standings. Wrangler's Guilherme Marchi finished third; Valdiron de Oliveira, fourth; Robson Palermo, fifth; and, Austin Meier, sixth.
