Last night we saw a new Dickies Dura bull fighter from Canada. Jesse Byrne has replaced Joe Baumgardner from last week’s accident and there will again be four lifesavers on the floor of the Thomas and Mack arena.
It was reported late last night that there were 2 injuries that needed to be addressed going into the Friday night's round, L.J. Jenkins was listed as probable and has been cleared as of 3 pm pacific to compete. By J.W. Kinder Pro Rodeo Announcer
PBR Top Bulls Tested for Steroids[Nov. 6, 2008] The Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) conducted steroids tests on the five bulls for the 2008 Bull of the Year award. Those bulls are Copperhead Slinger, owned by Chad Berger/Clay Struve; Troubadour, owned by Julio Moreno Bucking Bulls; Bones, owned by Teague Bucking Bulls, LLC; Spitfire, owned by C&G Rodeo Livestock, LLC; and All In, owned by Naccarato Bucking Bulls. 2008 Built Ford Tough Invasion of the Bulls Promotion Culminates in Las Vegas[Oct. 31, 2008] The 2008 Built Ford Tough Invasion of the Bulls program kicked-off on January 3, 2008 on the streets of New York City. Ford Trucks hauled 125 tons of dirt, 10 of the world's most fearless PBR riders, and 24 of the rankest bulls to the corner of 8th Avenue and West 33rd Street to put on an impromptu bull ride which kicked off Ford Trucks 2008 promotion. My Bulls Are Better Than Yours![Oct. 25, 2008] The 2008 regular season has come to a close, but the stock contractors of the Professional Bull Riders Inc. (PBR) are hard at work preparing for the 2008 PBR World Finals Bull Team Challenge. Twenty-two teams were formed, each providing $50,000 for the opportunity to win their share of the $1.1 million total competition purse through the 2008 season. With over half a million dollars up for grabs at the World Finals, 13 teams will be competing for their share of the prize money, but most importantly will be the bragging rights of the “put up or shut up” challenge. 2008 Professional Bull Riders World Finals Kicks Off with Party at Fremont Street Experience!!![Oct. 25, 2008] The world's best bull riders have been competing week in and week out on the elite 2008 Built Ford Tough Series presented by Wrangler (BFTS), all riding for a chance to qualify for the lucrative 2008 Built Ford Tough World Finals presented by Wrangler. This year, the PBR World Finals celebrates its 15th Anniversary in Las Vegas and PBR is jump-starting the two weekend event with a bang at the 2008 Kick-Off Party on Fremont Street Experience on Thursday, October 30. The riders who will be competing for the coveted $1,000,000 World Championship title will be introduced and then will "draft" the bull they will go head-to-head with during the 1st Round of the 2008 World Finals. Professional Bull Riders World Champion Bull Contenders Announced[Oct. 21, 2008] The votes are in and the Professional Bull Riders Inc. (PBR) is proud to announce the five bulls contending for the title of 2008 PBR World Champion Bull during the World Finals in Las Vegas! The World Champion bull is entitled to a Big Tex stock trailer, a $20,000 bonus, and bragging right for the 2009 Built Ford Tough Series season. Minor League Tour Results for October 16-19 and Upcoming Events[Oct. 20, 2008] It's official! The 2008 season has come to a close. Five minor league riders have accrued enough points to join the coveted Built Ford Tough Series in 2009. PBR will make the anticipated announcement next week as to which underdogs will progress to the punishing competition of the BFTS and a shot at the fame and fortune that goes with it. World Number One Takes 2nd Round Victory!!![Oct. 18, 2008] The Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) elite Built Ford Tough Series presented by Wrangler (BFTS) thrilled the sold-out Mohegan Sun Arena crowd at the Mohegan Sun Invitational in Uncasville, Conn. The crowd got their money’s worth as they watched current world number one Guilherme Marchi (Leme, SP, Brazil) take the round two victory after riding the bull, Bowtech’s I-94, owned by John & Lacey Berger, and scoring 89.5 points. Marchi collected a $2,730 check and is currently sitting second in the event standings with a total of 172.5 points on two bulls.
