Young Aussie Rides Reigning World Champion Bull to Win Round Two[Nov. 1, 2009] LAS VEGAS, Nev. (October 31, 2009) - The Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) took over Las Vegas’ Thomas & Mack Center for the second round of the 2009 PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals. PBR is looking to crown its 16th World Champion who will take home a $1 million bonus and the coveted gold belt buckle. At the end of Saturday’s performance, 2008 PBR Australia National Champion Pete Farley (Kempsey, AUS) took the round two victory after riding the 2008 PBR World Champion Bull, Bones, owned by Teague Bucking Bulls, LLC, for a whopping 93.25 points. This was the first time that the top bull was ridden in actual competition. The young Australian added a check for $25,000 to his bank account and the first World Finals round victory in his career. North Carolina Superstar Starts Week Off Right; Takes Round 1 Victory![Oct. 30, 2009] LAS VEGAS, Nev. (October 30, 2009) - The Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) descended upon “The Entertainment Capital of the World,” Las Vegas, Nev., for the 2009 PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals. In its 16th year, PBR is looking to crown its next World Champion who will take only take the $1 million bonus, but more importantly, will etch his name PBR history and take home the coveted gold belt buckle. On Friday during the 1st round of the World Finals, North Carolina superstar J.B. Mauney (Mooresville, N.C.) took the victory and repeated his round one win from 2008. He topped the bull, Chester, owned by Mendell/Jaeger, and scored 89.75 points. He added a check for $25,000 to his bank account along with valuable points to his 2009 Built Ford Tough World Standings.
