In front of a sold-out Sprint Center crowd, Australian sensation Brendon Clark (Morpeth, AUS) and 2009 PBR Daisy Rookie of the Year contender Pete Farley (Kempsey, AUS) split the round one victory after each scored 87.75 points. Clark took on the bull, I’ll Make You Famous, owned by Kooper Branum & Gene Baker, while Farley rode Shad Smith’s bull, V1. Colorado Superstar Takes PBR Anaheim Invitational Event Title!![Feb. 22, 2009] ANAHEIM, Calif. (February 21, 2009) - The Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) sold out the Honda Center on Saturday night as the PBR’s Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) bucked into Anaheim, California, for back-to-back stops on the West Coast. On stop #10 on the prestigious tour, fans were treated to the 40 best bull riders in the world, all competing against top bulls from across the country. In the end, Colorado superstar Kody Lostroh (Longmont, Colo.) emerged victorious after scoring 264.25 points on three bulls, taking home the coveted Anaheim Invitational event title. Professional Bull Rider’s Live Attendance Up in 2009 Season[Feb. 21, 2009] PUEBLO, Colo. (February 20, 2009) - The Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) is proud to announce that attendance for LIVE events for the Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) is up 10.7% compared to attendance in 2008. The results are after nine Built Ford Tough Series events in the 2009 season have been completed. The PBR made modest changes in ticket pricing, making it more affordable for fans and families affected by the economy. Luke Snyder Becomes Professional Bull Riders’s Newest Millionaire!!![Feb. 16, 2009] The fan favorite Missouri bull rider crossed the $1 million mark in career earnings after a second place finish in Oklahoma City.
PUEBLO, Colo. (February 16, 2009) - One of the Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) fan favorite bull riders, Luke Snyder (Raymore, Mo.) has accomplished many milestones in his career including riding in a record 243 consecutive BFTS events. Snyder is celebrating yet another career highlight as he becomes the 18th millionaire in PBR’s 16-year history. He crossed the $1 million mark at the Express Classic in Oklahoma City, held on February 13-15. He was one of only two men to ride all four of his bulls over the three-day competition and finished second in the overall event standings.
Oklahoma Young Gun Takes Round Two Victory![Feb. 15, 2009] OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (February 14, 2009) - The Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) elite Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) brought the best bull riders in the world to Oklahoma City’s Ford Center for round two of the 2009 Express Classic. At the end of Saturday evening’s performance, home state bull rider Ryan Dirteater (Hulbert, Okla.) left the Ford Center with the round two victory. Mauney Conquers World Champion Bull in Oklahoma City[Feb. 14, 2009] OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (February 14, 2009) - Oklahoma City’s Ford Center was treated to a ride for the record books as the No. 1 bull rider in the world J.B. Mauney (Mooresville, N.C.) conquered the 2008 World Champion bull, Bones, owned by Teague Bucking Bulls, LLC. Mauney scored 93.5 points and collected a check for $20,000, courtesy of Tom Teague, the bull’s owner. Before Mauney made the 8-second whistle on him, Bones had been ridden 0 out of 13 times on the PBR’s elite Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS).
