Inaugural PBR Team Shootout Kicks off July 27th inDel Mar!

PUEBLO, Colo. (July 24, 2008) - The Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) launches the first ever PBR Team Shootout presented by Ford Trucks this Sunday, July 27, in Del Mar, Calif. The two-man-team competition featuring the top 20 bull riders in the world will kick off at the Del Mar Fairgrounds at 8 p.m. The action from Del Mar will air on Sunday, Aug. 10, at 4 p.m. EST on ESPN2.

Fans will be able to see current World No. 1 Guilherme Marchi (Leme, SP, Brazil) in action, current World No. 2 Valdiron de Oliveira (Aparecida de Goiania, GO, Brazil) and fan favorites Luke Snyder (Raymore, Mo.) and Ross Coleman (Molalla, Ore.).

Tickets for the exclusive event can be purchased at the Del Mar Fairgrounds Box Office, online at www.ticketmaster.com, or by phone at 619.220.TIXS or 858.792.4252. They are also available at select Boot Barn locations in Oceanside, Kearny Mesa and El Cajon. Tickets are priced at $26 for grandstand seating or $65 for box seating. A five dollar military discount is also available.

Stop number two of the Shootout takes fans to the central coast of California for the Aug. 3, event in Paso Robles, Calif. The third Shootout takes place in the northwest in beautiful Molalla, Ore., on Aug. 9. The heart of Oklahoma will play host to the fourth Shootout in Guthrie, Okla., on Aug. 23. The top ten teams will compete at the PBR Shootout Finals on Aug. 28, in Pueblo, Colo.

Due to injuries, four teams have been reformatted: Nick Landreneau (Sulphur, La.) will now partner with Ben Jones (Goulburn, NSW, AUS) to replace injured team captain Chris Shivers (Jonesville, La.) and Jared Farley (Kemspey, AUS) will team up with his younger brother Pete Farley (Kemspey, AUS) to substitute wounded leader Brendon Clark (Morpeth, AUS). Also Sinovaldo Correira (Lobato, Paraná, Brazil) who was injured in Tulsa, Okla., will be replaced by Marcelo Nunes (Buritama, SP, Brazil) who will team up with his brother Renato Nunes (Buritama, SP, Brazil) and injured Robson Palermo (Rio Branco, Acre, Brazil) will be replaced with fellow Brazilian Helton Barbosa (Douradina, PR, Brazil) who will combine with Robson Arageo (Sergipe, Brazil).

The teams have chosen team names and are ready to lay it on the line for a winner-take-all purse of $50,000.

The teams competing in the Del Mar PBR Team Shoot Out presented by Ford Trucks are:

Team Nunes- Renato Nunes (Buritama, SP, Brazil) and Marcelo Nunes (Buritama, SP, Brazil)
Team Oliveria- Valdiron de Oliveira (Aparecida de Goiania, GO, Brazil) and Pim Rosa (Sao Paulo, Brazil)
Team Jeffrey Scott Fine Magnetics- Luke Snyder (Raymore, Mo.) and Cory Rasch (Clarksville, Tenn.)
Team Coleman- Ross Coleman (Molalla, Ore.) and Matt Bohon (Cole Camp, Mo.)
Team Landreneau- Nick Landreneau (Sulphur, La.) and Ben Jones (Goulburn, NSW, AUS)
Team Kershaw Knives- Guilherme Marchi (Leme, SP, Brazil) and Juliano Marchi (Bariri, SP, Brazil)
Team Express- Ednei Caminhas (Presidente Alves, SP, Brazil) and Arnobo Ferreira (Guaruni D’Oeste, SP, Brazil)
Team Arageo- Robson Arageo (Sergipe, Brazil) and Helton Barbosa (Douradina, PR, Brazil)
Team Elliott- Dustin Elliott (North Platte, Neb.) and Wesley Silcox (Santaquin, Utah)
