GLENDALE, Ariz. (March 11, 2010) - PBR fans might be surprised to see Voodoo Child, Major Payne and Pinball Wizard making the trip to Arizona this weekend for the Glendale Invitational.

Fact is, that they haven’t been home in some time.

“The weather has been pretty bad on the East Coast,” explained PBR Livestock Director Cody Lambert, who will be able to use some of those same bulls again next week in Fresno, Calif. “Jeff Robinson opted to move his bulls out of there.

“They’ve been staying first in Oklahoma and now they’ve been in Arizona for a couple of weeks. He’s got 30-some bulls out there.”

Robinson will also buck Soulja Boy, El Presidente, Red Bone and Hyponotized in Round 1 of the Glendale Invitational at Jobing.com Arena.

Robinson’s bulls give Lambert a deeper pool to choose from than he normally might have, particularly when mixed with the Oklahoma-based Page bulls and others along West Coast.

Lambert, whose weekly Podcast can be accessed by logging onto www.pbr.tv, also talked about the Pages splitting their pen in two.

“H.D. and Dillon Page have sent one group of great bulls on the rodeo trail, and one group of great bulls on the PBR trail, and they switch them up every now and then.” he explained.

The Pages annually qualify their bulls for both the PBR World Finals and the National Finals Rodeo.

Lambert added, “They like for the bulls to be able to win, and they get a little easier go at a lot of those rodeos.”

The Pages will have hauled 10 of the 40 bulls in the opening long round, including Show Time, Crossover, Marmaduke and Bad Yeller.

During his weekly interview, Lambert also looked back at last week’s ABBI Classic competition in Kansas City, and ahead to the World Cup event in April.

“In the Bull Pen with Cody Lambert” is recorded and posted online every Thursday before a BFTS event.
