Hayes edged Sevi Torturo (Oklahoma City, Okla.) by one-half point for the victory at the Pala Casino in Pala, Calif., while Schaper was the only rider to ride two bulls at the Whistle Workwear presents the Dickies Northwest PBR Touring Pro event in Everett, Wash.

Pass picked up his first victory, finishing 2.5 points ahead of Clayton Baethge (Johnson City, Texas), at the J.W. Hart PBR Challenge Enterprise Rent-A-Car event in Decatur, Texas.

The Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc. Cord McCoy Invitational presented by Ariat and Cooper Tires will be held Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Pontotoc County Agri-Plex in Ada, Okla. McCoy will also host the Oh My Gravy, It’s a Pink Tie Affair on Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Agri-Plex. Proceeds from the dinner will benefit the Relay for Life through the American Cancer Society. Cord and his brother Jet will be honored for their runner-up finish on The Amazing Race with a parade in downtown Ada on Saturday at 10 a.m.

The other PBR Touring Pro events scheduled for this weekend are in Texas on Friday at 8:30 p.m. at Cowboys Dancehall in San Antonio and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Midland County Horseshoe Arena in Midland.

The PBR Touring Pro Division is the minor-league tour of the PBR and features up-and-coming bull riders competing alongside veterans and fan favorites against some of the most famous bucking bulls. The tour gives riders the opportunity to compete in PBR-sanctioned events while earning money to qualify for the elite Built Ford Tough Series, which is comprised of the Top 40 bull riders in the world. Every five events on the BFTS, the bottom five riders (based on points) are dropped from the BFTS and the Top 5 riders (based on money earned) from the Touring Pro Division are allowed to move onto the BFTS.

The elite BFTS is having the deepest title race in history and there have been 15 different winners through the first 20 events. The BFTS is currently on its summer break and will return on July 16-18 for the Tulsa Invitational Presented by Cooper Tires and brought to you locally by Troy-Bilt and Blue-Emu.
