New York, NY (April 26, 2010) - “The Amazing Race” cowboys, PBR fan favorite Cord McCoy (Tupelo, Okla.) and his brother Jet, finished the Shanghai leg of the race in first place. This was the fourth time this season they have finished at the top of the pack. For their first place finish, the cowboys each received a trip for two to Alaska.
The final four teams raced through Shanghai in this week’s episode, where they had to test their skills at traditional noodle-making with the world’s smallest man, He Pingping, at the first Roadblock. The teams then made their way to the Shanghai fashion district where they were challenged to dress high-fashion models according to designer instructions.
Also new this week was a first-ever second Roadblock in a single leg of the race, which challenged the team member who sat out on the first Roadblock to build an oversized puzzle in Hongkou Football stadium. The puzzle directed the team to a specific seat inside the stadium where they would find their next clue.
This leg of the race ended in a non-elimination, which means there are still four teams in the running for the $1,000,000 prize.
Cord McCoy, who is currently competing on PBR’s Touring Pro Division, and his brother have won over the hearts of viewers with trademark phrases like “Oh my gravy!” and “Son of a buck!” and their dedicated cowboy work ethic. So far the brothers have won sailboats and vacations to Patagonia, Hawaii and Alaska.
Fans can catch the cowboy duo on “The Amazing Race” next Sunday on CBS at 8:00 p.m. ET. Check your local listings for details.
