[Jan. 21, 2010] The people of the Cross Brand Cowboy Church can’t wait until Sunday to gather together to worship through music and scripture. What’s different about that? Isn’t that usually the case with church-going folks? Sure it is. But how many of them come donned in cowboy hats and jeans and spend the rest of the afternoon in the rodeo arena out back?

Fletcher group rides range to lasso lost souls, win 'partners'
[Jan. 16, 2010] FLETCHER -- Pastor Louis Gibson carries a microphone as he strides across the sawdust floor at the Western North Carolina Agricultural Center.

Wearing a black hat, jeans and a black leather vest over a Western-style shirt, Gibson kicks a little sawdust over the top of his brown cowboy boots as he comes to a stop in the middle of the indoor arena, designed for rodeos. His bushy mustache tips up into a soft smile as he lifts the microphone.

Preaching in the 'cowboy way'
