PBR Pastor Todd Pierce Shares Personal Story[Jun. 9, 2008] One of the blessings of this job has been the remarkable people God has placed in my life. One of those acquaintances is Todd Pierce, minister for Pro Bull Riders Outreach. Over the years I have had a few conversations with him but most importantly I have heard him speak at several Outreach services at Professional Bull Riders events. I have never walked away from one of these services without a better insight into my faith. Recently Todd and his wife, Leslie, told their story on a Billy Graham special. This is the video from the show. It is a story of love and courage you wo''t want to miss!
A Church with a Rodeo[May 16, 2008] In an American free-market, voluntary church environment, we'd all do well to scan the pews (or hay bales) of our own churches and see who we've joined ourselves to. My hunch is that we'd find we're probably not much different than our cowboy brothers and sisters in seeking out our cultural kin.
She was the queen of gospel music[May 13, 2008] Dottie Rambo, perhaps the most prolific songwriter of her time and the greatest songwriter to come out of Kentucky...was killed Sunday when her tour bus crashed in Missouri, has affected people throughout the world,

Lifelong cowboy finds self ministering on rodeo circuit[Apr. 7, 2008] Sitting on folding chairs in the dim light of the open warehouse door, several families tapped their cowboy boots in time to a live Christian country-music act. They listened to lifelong cowboy Coy Huffman preach about the uplifting power of Jesus, framed against the oddly poetical backdrop of a mountainous pile of used cardboard boxes and stacks of plywood. The lowing of cows could be heard in the barn next door.
Man preaches with music Country artist spreads faith through song[Feb. 29, 2008] Mike Vaughn didn't start out to be a minister. He was going to be a country singer and songwriter. Vaughn began singing solos at age 11 in the First Assembly of God Church. His grandfather, Bill Smiley, provided a strong influence on Vaughn as a singer.
Cowboys buck Satan, pray all will be safe[Feb. 23, 2008] Before they call his name to go out in the ring, bull rider Chance Smart leans over the chute and puts his hands on his assigned bull, praying that he will have dominion over the animal.
Joanne Cash To Appear On RFD-TV's Trunin' To Country[Feb. 21, 2008] Gospel icon Joanne Cash will be featured in two episodes of the popular RFD-TV series Turnin' to Country starting this weekend. RFD-TV sent cameras to Starkville, Mississippi last November to cover the first annual Johnny Cash Flower Pickin' Festival, which featured a symbolic posthumous pardon to Cash, and a line-up of musicians closely associated with the late singer and American icon, including
God’s Power to Transform Good from Evil[Feb. 2, 2008] Sandra was a 17-year-old girl who was with her mom and dad on a fall vacation visiting family friends. The friends that they were visiting had an 18-year-old son. One evening both families decided to go down and look at the beautiful pond, but the son asked Sandra to stay back at the house. When all the family members were gone, he lured her into the utility room of their home where he raped her. Sandra did not tell anyone about this because she thought it was her fault. As a result of the rape, she became pregnant.
Bull rider credits God for recovery, success in 2008[Jan. 31, 2008] In December 2003, Travis Briscoe's family was told that he might not make it through the night. He was 16 and on the verge of death after being hospitalized with a sinus cavity rupture. But within six months, Briscoe was riding bulls again thanks to successful brain surgery and what he called divine healing.
Rodeo school focuses on riding, roping and religion[Dec. 31, 2007] ATTENTION - SHARK has chosen to use this wonderful article as a way to crusade against rodeo. Please read comments! - In the first century, Jesus commissioned his followers to make the catch, meaning that his small band of apostolic fishermen would reel in converts and engage them in discipleship training. Almost 2,000 years later, a high-profile cowboy heeded the same call by aiming his rodeo school toward roping up-and-coming competitors into living the Christian faith. Meet Allen Bach, defending world team roping heeling champion who
