Homer Joy, Director of Cowboy Ministries for the Rodeo Attitude Program, did the service for the Morning Star Cowboy Church's 1st Anniversary on Sunday, March 4th. The following is his report of the event:

If your ever down around Kenney, Texas (half way between Austin and Houston) or just happen to live in the area. Some Sunday, no matter what your plans are. Take a break at 10:00 A.M. and get yourself and your family, to the Morning Star Cowboy Church. Suzan and I were there last Sunday and what a blessing.

Texans are known for their hospitality, but Harry and Karen Brisco, who Pastor this unique church. Have taken not only hospitality, but love in Christ, to a whole new level.

The Morning Star Cowboy Church (started just one year ago by Harry and Karen) began by sharing space with Harry's welding shop... Today, the church takes up 99% of the space. The welding shop has been pushed into one small corner of the building and out into the yard. In just one visit, you will know why plans for a new church building, are not just forward looking. But in a very short time, will be absolutely necessary...

That could be all of interest about The Morning Star Cowboy Church, but it's not !

Harry and Karen, along with a large number of the congregation. Are pretty good singers and pickers too. The "Texas" style of the music is easy to detect and every line and lyric is a tribute to a loving and one on one relationship, with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ...

We were proud to finally meet (face to face) Richard and Lana Manus from www.wewillpraisethelord.com . who drove over to visit Suzan and I. It was great to visit Rusty and Nancy again, and to see and get a big hug from one of our dearest sisters in Christ, Linda Fults.

Neither Suzan or I can remember meeting more new friends, being hugged and loved on more, or feeling more a part of something wonderful and blessed, as we did at The Morning Star Cowboy Church last Sunday... If your tired of phony, put on make believe Christianity.
