The House has voted on H.R. 503 and we lost. Before the anti-slaughter bill can become a law, however, the Senate needs to vote on it. We do not have a timetable when or if this will happen in the short time that is left for this session, but it could be very soon. At any rate, there is no time like the present, while the issue is in the forefront, to let our senators know what we want them to do. The bill is flawed because it does not address the problems related to unwanted horses and it should be opposed.
Please go to the following link for a quick and easy way to contact your two senators. Ask them to Vote NO on the Horse Protection Act, HB 503 (S.1915).

arguments. All he or she needs to know is you want a NO vote on HB 503 (S.1915).
If you are uncertain about this issue, please go to the link above and read the reasons why it is not a good bill. Please do it now. Thank you.
