Lyman, SC, October 2, 2007. RodeoStockyard.com the Internet’s first online service for buying and selling rodeo livestock and equipment has been sold to four Virginia entrepreneurs. The new owners are Wes Hevener, Josh Cash, Wes Begoon, and Steve Harrison. These new owners have several years experience in the rodeo business and their combined skills and efforts will take RodeoStockyard.com to new levels and will ensure that the users will continue to have a place to buy and sell their Rodeo stock.

Mike Porter created RodeoStockyard.com in 2001 as a service for rodeo stock breeders and contractors. In the six years that followed, hundreds of head of livestock and equipment have changed hands. Porter said it was a tough decision to sell RodeoStockyard.com. His biggest concern was to find buyers that would continue to support the thousands of devoted users. Porter said “I have no doubt that the new owners will take RodeoStockyard.com to new levels and I am excited for them.” He added: “Words cannot express the thanks and gratitude I have for all of the friends I have met over the last six years. We had a great time and a good run, now it’s time to pass the torch. Thanks for everything and please continue to support RodeoStockyard.com.”

RodeoStockyard.com offers an online auction, classified ads and an event schedule. For more information please visit RodeoStockyard.com or email webmaster@rodeostockyard.com.
