Mikel Moreno Memorial Scholarship Recipient Announced[Nov. 7, 2008] The American Bucking Bull Inc. is proud to announce the recipient of the 2008 Mikel Moreno Memorial Scholarship is Bryn Agnew. Agnew will receive $1,000 from the Scholarship fund and an additional matched amount of $1,000 from the ABBI. PBR and ABBI Announce Stock Contractor of the Year and Futurity/Classic Bull Competition Winners[Nov. 7, 2008] The Professional Bull Rider Inc. (PBR) is proud to announce the recipient of the 2008 PBR Stock Contractor of the Year, Chad Berger and Clay Struve. The pair won the prestigious award for the second consecutive year which is determined annually by a vote of the top 45 bull riders in the world. It was announced at the 2008 PBR Stock Contractors Banquet which took place earlier this week at the South Point Hotel and Casino.
Tarheel Stater J.B. Mauney making a statement[Nov. 6, 2008] The second weekend of action kicked off Thursday night at the Thomas and Mack and finding a new wave of fans has not been hard find. Tonight’s crowd hovered around 12,000 and this weekend the PBR will crown a one million dollar champion in the world finals. The check hasn't been written out yet but Guilherme Marchi is doing what he can to. PBR Top Bulls Tested for Steroids[Nov. 6, 2008] The Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) conducted steroids tests on the five bulls for the 2008 Bull of the Year award. Those bulls are Copperhead Slinger, owned by Chad Berger/Clay Struve; Troubadour, owned by Julio Moreno Bucking Bulls; Bones, owned by Teague Bucking Bulls, LLC; Spitfire, owned by C&G Rodeo Livestock, LLC; and All In, owned by Naccarato Bucking Bulls.
