Rodeo contractor defends use of prods[Jun. 20, 2008] HARD wants to penalize the rodeo association and animal supplier Flying U Rodeo Co. for violating its rules during the May 17-18 event. The association and Flying U owner Cotton Rosser said they are challenging the decision, based on state and national standards.
Xtreme Bulls: No bull that Troubadour is a rising star[Jun. 19, 2008] Before leukemia took his life in 2006, 18-year-old Mikel (Moreno) knew his family had another special bull on its hands in a young calf known by the number T11. He wanted to give it a special name in tribute to a family friend.
He named it Troubadour.
A Ban On Bullridng?[Jun. 5, 2008] This may seem like a small problem for the rodeo and bull riding sport but in reality it should be compared to the small piece of grass that makes it way up a tiny crack in the paving and then grows until the crack expands and soon you have a large problem. Please tell your friends in New York and especially in Putman county to let them know the bulls are not harmed and in fact enjoy the sport as much as the riders. That they live the life of luxury. Young Bull Gets The Big Bucks: $93,000 For 6 Seconds[Jun. 3, 2008] When the 2008 American Heritage Futurity in Ardmore, OK was over on May 31, 129 bulls had been bucked and over $372,000 had been paid out. The one-day ABBI (American Bucking Bull Inc.) event showcased the ultimate in animal athleticism and concluded with a new 2-year-old champion being crowned. The bull, 691 Super Freak, earned $93,925 for owners Jerome and Tiffany Davis. By Susan Bedford, ABBI
