Diamond S Bucking Bull Sale and ABBI Futurity May 2nd

If the Diamond S Social was a sign of things to come this morning, WOW! Get ready for SOMETHING SPECIAL.

We served 180 people a BBQ plate and man did Roddy Qualls and his wife do an excellent job with the food. The new team competition for customers and fans was a big hit. There is 17 teams of four bulls and the entry fees paid on these teams exceeded $17,000. This concept allows both owners and non-owners of the bulls to own a team for a day and become a winner. Four teams will win money and the top team will win approx $6,000 and the 4th place team will win around $2,000. It’s simple their four bulls will buck at the ABBI sanctioned event this afternoon at 4PM. You add your 4 bulls scores together and hope it is higher than the other teams total scores.

Now for some information on today’s ABBI sanctioned sale. I need to give you some information

1) Lot 72, 80 and 101 are out

2) Lot 54 the picture in the catalogue is incorrect but the video is correct

3) We will have some additional lots at the end of the sale that will be some semen packages on bulls like Bodacious, Dillinger, Yellow Jacket, Apollo, Dell Hall’s 105 and more

4) Add lot 122A which will be some frozen embryos (Sire-Apollo and Dan is Cow 26-Lot 122)

I also want to tell you about a few incentives today

1) Lot 71,73,74,76,77,82,83 and 84 were purchased last year at the MEGA-Genetics sale so they all qualify to raise bull calves for the annual $10,000 MEGA-Genetics incentive futurity

2) Gaylon & Joey Childers will be giving everyone a complimentary Pull-Pro ($300 value) that purchases one of their pre-futurity bulls (Lot 20-38)

3) Diamond S Bucking bulls will be giving everyone a cap or T-shirt that purchases one of their lots

4) HERE IS THE BIG ONE. A COMPLIMENTARY TRIP TO LAS VEGAS DURING THE PBR FINALS- This will be one round trip airline ticket, a complimentary Hotel for two nights, and two tickets to sit with David & Amie Simpson of Diamond S Bucking Bulls at the PBR Finals. THIS WILL GO TO THE HIGH BIDDER on any OPEN HEIFER.

5) Also we are introducing THE EXCLUSIVE GENETICS’ Triple Horn Futurity Series for 2010 which gives everyone the chance to nominate their own bull to be compete in a series of three events. The nomination fee is $300 if paid before 12-31-09 and if your 2008 born bull will win a $10,000 bonus for winning any one of the three futurities that he enters. If that bull pays the entry fees to each of those events, competes at all three events, and wins all three events, that bull will win a bonus of ONE MILLION DOLLARS.

6) Lot #1 Red Dirt Road is entered in the Classic competition at Pueblo, Co in two weeks and Diamond S Bucking Bulls is including that entry fee of $1,500 in your purchase price today. After Pueblo, the new partner will pay all entry fees

7) Lot 2-12 are entered in the ABBI Futurity today! At The Diamond S Ranch and Diamond S Bucking Bulls is including the $700 entry fee in your purchase price today. After today’s futurity the new partner will pay all entry fees.

Last I want to explain a few terms & conditions

1) Please look on page 6 and become familiar with the terms & conditions of the sale. I want to bring your attention to #8. There is a buyer’s premium of $50 per lot (or per animal purchased). This is an administrative charge to handle the lot but also includes the transfer of all paperwork, including ABBI registration papers. FOR BUYERS WHO ARE NOT CURRENT MEMBERS(BREEDERS) WITH THE ABBI, YOUR ANNUAL DUES MUST BE PAID prior to receiving your certificates.

2) Your cattle can be picked up at The Diamond S Ranch either Saturday night or Sunday. The Diamond S is also willing to keep your cattle complimentary for a reasonable amount of time. Additionally we can haul your cattle to Amarillo, TX Sunday or Monday or to Pueblo, Co on May 14th or 15th. Please when you check out let the secretary know what your plans are so we can properly sort cattle as soon as the sale is over
