What is really awesome about this day is while he was riding the mountains of Canada, his bull “Bad mama Jama” trained by the Jaynes Gang was winning(yes 1st place) at the ABBI futurity in Lake Charles LA

Its hard to believe tomorrow will be the final day. We were hosted to a very nice supper in Edson at the Three Peaks Restaurant. Every year that the Kids With Cancer Tour has gone through Edson the group has been treated to supper and drinks by the restaurant owner and Andrew Cattran who is doing his 5th ride this year with us and lives in Edson. Andrew’s 10 year old son was diagnosed with cancer and has been cancer free now for just over one year. I forgot to mention in yesterdays update that Andrew’s family came out and rode the last 10 km into Edson with him, it was a real great thing to see.
The weather this morning was again perfect for cycling with a good wind out of the west and bright sunshine. Took just over 2 hours to do the first 58 km to Nojack where we had lunch waiting for us at the provincial camp site. With 60 km left to go to Seba Beach for our last night it was going to be a short day in the saddle. Rather than stopping and spending the night in Seba the MacLean’s, Aidan Inglis and myself decided we would go all the way to Stony Plain and by doing so could lay claim to another cycling century and back to back ones at that!
It was so awesome to see Maryanne make it another 100 miles today as she is determined to do the entire ride and like all of us has got stronger over the last 7 days. Since Aidan’s mom Erin fell on day two she has been doing lots of riding with the 3 grandpa’s who would leave her behind on the hill climbs but not today, she stayed with us the entire day.
So tonight I get to sleep in my own bed and will get up in the morning and drive back out to Stony Plain and ride in with the rest of the group. The plan is to finish the ride tomorrow around 1:30 at the Legislative building.
