Shane and Shawn is known as the place for unique and fashionable shoes in Manhattan. On January 10th from noon to 3 PM ET that will change. Shane and Shawn will host an original bull painting show and sale for artist Janie Dee. The shoe designers met Janie Dee when she designed and they sold an original shoe. Janie Dee’s paintings themselves have a story of their own.

In 1966 Janie’s dad took a brief position at the Stockyards in Minot, SD. While he was there a rodeo came to town and he treated his three little girls to a visit to see the Brahma bulls being kept there during the rodeo. The visit became a strong childhood memory for Janie who was entranced by the magnificent animals. As an adult Janie became a true PBR fan still spell bound by the grace and beauty of the bulls. It was this love of the bulls that motivated her to paint the bulls from a unique stand point – their eyes. In her series of paintings from her Bullz Eye Collection Janie Dee captures the heart and spirit that makes these bulls champions of the bull riding arena.

Janie Dee knows the power of these animal athletes and as a bull riding fan understands the challenge and dangers of the sport. In respect for the riders she has decided to donate to the Rider’s Relief Fund a portion of each sale. All paintings are economically priced to buy with layaways available on all paintings. There will be special low prices during the show plus free glossy print signed by artist while the supply lasts.

So before attending the PBR Built Ford Tough Series Saturday night at the Madison Square Garden why not stop in at Shane and Shawn’s at 238 Mulberry for great music, party atmosphere with food and drink and the Bullz Eye Collection – a contemporary view of the bull.
