Members of the ABBI have competed throughout the year for prizes and the honor to compete in Las Vegas ABBI World Finals Classic. Fifty eight of the top 3 and 4 year olds in the world will compete for $450,000 Purse with $200,000 to the Winner. Rodeo Attitude members Dillon Page, D & H Cattle Company along with other partners has the most entries with 8. Each bull actually is owned by a different set of owners with D & H as the common denominator.
Wes Bruce and Bruce Bucking Bulls will be represented by Cowboy Cut and Dire Straits. These two bulls have been "bringing home the bacon" for their owner this year and Wes has already been using them in his breeding program. In round one of the classic it will be Cory McFadden and Myron Durate who will be matched with Cowboy Cut and Dire Straits respectfully.
A bull we have been hearing a lot about is Vortex. Vortex is owned by one of our newest members Bryan Smith of Cross Lazy S Bucking Bulls. Several people have told us this bull missed several of the ABBI qualifying events and still won enough to qualify for the finals. Rodeo Attitude member, Willy Ropp, has drawn him in round one. This bull will sell at the ABBI Sale and is predicted to be one of the top selling bulls of the auction. You might have heard of his daddy, Mossy Oak's Mudslinger. We will all be keeping our eyes on him.
Member Gene Baker is one of the three owners in a young bull that has been making some ripples as well. The other owners are George Walshon and Pete Baker and the bull is 69-Tater Salad. Tater Salad was drawn by Myron Duante. A good rider and a good bull and a match up to watch.
One of our first members Lynn Rice with his partner LeeAkin will be represented by Akin for Eight. Dusty Higgis has drawn this bull in round one. With the breeding program of Rice Ranch behind him it will be Dusty who will be "Aiken for Eight"!
ABBI World Finals Futurity has a $150,000 Purse with $50,000 to the Winner and will feature 100 of the Top 2 year old bulls in the World.
All these events will be covered by Rodeo Attitude's Tom Smith, Eastern Regional Director and J. W. Kinder, Western Regional Director. Tom will forcus on the Classic and the Futurity and we are looking forward to some very insightful interviews to pass on to you.
