FDA Says Clones Are Safe For Food[Jan. 15, 2008] A long-awaited final report from the Food and Drug Administration concludes that foods from healthy cloned animals and their offspring are as safe as those from ordinary animals, effectively removing the last U.S. regulatory barrier to the marketing of meat and milk from cloned cattle, pigs and goats.
NM Gov. Announces Plan to Deal with Bovine TB in New Mexico's Curry County[Jun. 16, 2007] Governor Bill Richardson announced that the state is taking aggressive action to minimize the impact of a dairy cattle herd in Curry County that has been diagnosed as having bovine Tuberculosis. Bovine TB is a bacterial disease that affects primarily the upper respiratory tract of cattle.
PRCA Statement Regarding the Cloverdale, British Columbia Rodeo[May 25, 2007] The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) is aware of the decision of the Cloverdale Rodeo in Surrey, British Columbia to not hold all standard rodeo events at their 2008 event.
