Pit bull dogs rescued in raid face uncertain future[Jul. 14, 2009] It was the most comprehensive dog fighting bust in U.S. history as law enforcement agencies from eight different states joined forces to raid multiple dog fighting operations on July 8, 2009. Rodeo watchdog to receive $US25,000 in settlement[Feb. 16, 2009] A rodeo watchdog group will receive $US25,000 from the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) in settlement of a claim over copyright issues.
The PRCA and the group Showing Animals Respect and Kindness (SHARK) had locked horns over copyright in respect of videos posted on YouTube.

No prods allowed, Rodeo says[Jul. 11, 2008] Pikes Peak or Bust Foundation President Rob Alexander said the rodeo bars livestock contractors from using electronic prods and any artificial stimulant for livestock. Such a rule is stricter than the Colorado Springs-based Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association regulation that allows electronic prods to the hips and shoulders when an animal is stalled in a chute.
