GP Spain, ESFM Entertainment and Rumford Rodeo Company will be announcing details of their 2009 Rodeo Europe Tour on Thursday, March 26, 2009. The 12-city tour of Spain and Portugal this fall is seen as an important stepping stone for advancing interest in the sport of rodeo outside North American borders.

The press conference will take place at 1 p.m., at the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame, 101 ProRodeo Drive, Colorado Springs, Colo.

In attendance will be the collaborative partners, Bronc Rumford of Kansas-based Rumford Rodeo, representatives from GP Spain, and Javier Merino, of ESFM Entertainment. Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Commissioner Karl Stressman, and several PRCA cowboys will be present to talk about America’s number-one sport – Rodeo.

The event will include a video conference between the location at the ProRodeo Hall of Fame and Madrid (Spain). Madrid is the kick off city for Rodeo Europe Tour 2009. A live exhibition by two professional cowboys, Jesse James Kirby and Cody Kiser, and an appearance by 2009 Miss Rodeo America Maegan Ridley, will be features of the event.
