Why They Serve - Veteran's Day Message

This was to be just another link to another story about the Canadian Finals Rodeo and their "Tough Enough to Wear Pink" night. All that changed when I read the story. Graham Hicks if of the Edmonton Sun begins his daily article with a remarkable reading by an unknown author regarding soldiers fighting for freedom in Afghanistan. November 11th is Veteran's Day or as they call it in Canada, Remembrance Day. I can not think of a more appropriate article to place as our top story today. The rodeo industry is known for not only its support of cancer research but for its deep patriotism and support of those troops fighting for freedom, not just American troops but those of our allies and those of our allies in the past. Those brave men and women that fought in WI, WWII, the Korean Conflict, Viet Nam and now those in Afghanistan and Iraq and every corner of the world fighting terrorism we honor on November 11th. Perhaps it is appropriate also that we honor them as we enter the holiday season, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Eve. A time of parties, happiness and sharing with families and friends, a time we are allowed to express our freedom of religion because they have and always will have the courage to defend this right for us. A big rodeo YEE HAW! THANK YOU! From all of us at Rodeo Attitude!
