Ever wonder what it takes to get on a 1500lb. bull and hang on for 8 seconds? Or what kind of person would throw their body in the way of a bull who only wants to hurt someone? Viewers will get an unprecedented look at what it really takes to be a bull rider or bull fighter, March 29 @ 7:30 – 8:00pm MST on Rush HD.
The 10 x 30 minute episodes were shot on location during the 2009 Canadian Pro Rodeo season. Produced by Juxtapose Productions Inc. from Saskatoon, Sask., it is a TV series like no other. The viewer will get up close and personal with the bull riders and bull fighters and will be able to see and understand what it takes and why they choose such a dangerous career.
Executive Producer Dennis Hrapchak says: “You quickly lose any preconceived notions you may have about these athletes, just from our experience we know that cowboys are tough, but what surprised us the most in this television series is how well spoken and articulate they are and how keen their business sense is. They are professional athletes and it has been a pleasure to deal with each and every one of these individuals.”
Season 2 of Hell on Hooves follows a very diverse group of cowboys, from the previous year’s Canadian bull riding champion who has no plans on giving up his title to the all time winningest bull rider in Canada that is still a force to be recognized to the rookie who is out to prove he belongs. It all culminates with the Canadian Finals Rodeo in Edmonton, Alta.
Hell on Hooves crew has been given unprecedented access to the day-to-day lives of the cowboys and is fully supported and endorsed by the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association.
The premiere screening of Episode 1, season 2 will be presented on March 30 @ 9:00pm MST at the Radisson Hotel Calgary Airport, 2120 16 Ave. N.E. and all interested are invited to attend.
The series is executive produced by Dennis Hrapchak, directed, produced and written by Doug Hudema. Hell on Hooves is a Juxtapose Productions Inc. project licensed by Rush HD.
