EDMONTON, Alberta (July 24, 2008) - At the conclusion of the Express Classic presented by Creek Nation Casino, event winner and two-time, reigning World Champion Justin McBride (Elk City, Okla.) did not pick randomly when he chose current World No. 1 Guilherme Marchi (Leme, SP, Brazil) as his Zantrex-3 Insta-Shot Grudge Match opponent.
“I compete to be the best in the world, so I want to compete against the best,” McBride said of his choice.
The exciting new Zantrex-3 Insta-Shot Grudge Match allows the previous Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) event winner to select his Grudge Match opponent from a list of premium riders that includes previous World Champions, riders ranked within the Top 10 BFTS standings, or 2008 BFTS event winners. If one man rides, he automatically takes the prize money. If neither ride, the prize money rolls over to the next event and increases another $5,000. Once the money is claimed, the prize will start over at $5,000. The Grudge Match takes place at the end of the first televised round of every event.
Because Mike Lee (Decatur, Texas) collected the Grudge Match money in Tulsa, Okla., the prize returns to $5,000 and it will likely be collected by McBride or Marchi.
