CALGARY, ALTA. – Pull up your boots for this year’s Camrose Spring
Classic Rodeo! The action kicks off this Friday at the Camrose Regional
Exhibition grounds in Camrose, Alta., just 45 minutes from the Edmonton
International Airport, or a three-hour drive from Calgary.

You won’t want to miss a second of the action from March 20 to 22 as
cowboys and cowgirls compete in the six major events: saddle bronc
riding, bareback riding, bull riding, tie-down roping, steer wrestling
and ladies barrel racing, as well as team roping. This year’s Spring
Classic will also feature boys’ steer riding, an event that proved
popular amongst fans and competitors after it was reintroduced to the
event line-up at last year’s Canadian Finals Rodeo (CFR).

Outlaw Buckers Rodeo Corp. will be providing the stock. The Hythe,
Alta.-based stock contractor formerly known as Peters and Sons Rodeo Co.
won two CFR Stock awards, one awarded to the bull McLovin, and the other
to saddle bronc horse Miss Congeniality. And with spring in the air, the
stock should have plenty of pep to keep contestants watching their toes.

After Saturdays performance, ticket holders over the age of 18 will be
treated to a cabaret featuring a performance by musical group Domino of
Stettler, Alta. who are set to entertain with a variety of cover tunes
and original songs.

Tickets for each day are just $15 at the door. The action takes place on
Friday and Saturday evenings at 7 p.m., with the final rodeo performance
Sunday at 2 p.m.
