Drawing trail riders and concert attendees from all over the U.S., the 2nd Annual Mount Royal Trail Ride & Concert was held on September 28th - 29th in the mountains of Northwest Arkansas on the border of Oklahoma. The ride was hosted and lead by Royal Wade Kimes who took the trail riders through a pass not only traveled by early pioneers but used as escape routes by the likes of Cole Younger, Belle Star and other notorious outlaws of their time... As the riders made their way along the trail they enjoyed traces of the rich history of these mountains. Friday evening was spent camping and cooking at an old fashion campfire in the tradition of the old west.

Trail riders were joined Saturday night at there destination for a concert by folks from states as far away as Virginia, Colorado and Nebraska. Participants enjoyed an old fashion chuck wagon supper before the concert which of course featured Royal Wade Kimes. Among the many songs Wade sang was his newest hit, “Faster Gun”.

A portion of the proceeds from the 2nd Annual Mount Royal Trail Ride & Concert will be presented to the Back Packs for Children. Back Packs for Children provides meals for children who may not have anything to eat on week-ends when they are not in school. Last year’s event raised funds to feed approximately 1,900 children. Wade’s take, “It is cool when you can see the good you are doing. The point though, is it isn’t just me, it is the folks who participate in making this happen by attending the event!”

The Mount Royal Trail Ride and Royal Wade Kimes is being supported by the following sponsors: True West Magazine; Breading Dodge; Sierra Bullet; Star Line Brass; Taylor’s and Company gun imports; KFSM TV Network; Deer Holler Ranch; Hawk Trailers of Wisconsin; Crabtree Motors who are provided an RV for Wade and his band; Community Bank; and RodeoAttitude.com.
