The Palm Springs WestFest announces the Western Design Expo, displaying March 24-27 in the Renaissance Hotel.

Themed "Where Old West meets The New West," the Western Design Expo will showcase the top U.S. designers in the fields of Western fashion, home furnishings, jewelry and art in a 12,000 square foot display area. Interactive exhibits, artists creating art, and multi-media displays will bring the contemporary West alive and demonstrate the enduring spirit of the pioneers. Both established and up-and-coming designers will be showcased in the 4-day event. A special area for Western artists is planned, along with a dozen or more pedestals spotlighting The Best From Out Of The West. Both art gallery and shopping show, patrons can order furnishings, couture and artwork from the designers themselves.

The prestigious Cowboys & Indians Magazine elected to present the 2011 Palm Springs Western Design Expo due to its proximity to Los Angeles, San Diego and Phoenix, and for its dedication to Western lifestyle and advancing the genre in a way that reflects the free-spirited cowboy style.

In addition to the Expo in the Renaissance Ballrooms, a Rancho Deluxe fashion show created by Dolf Castillo will be presented in several locations during Western Week, March 20-27. These displays of rhinestones and rodeo are designed to contrast the Old and the New West and promise to show off the pinnacle of Western style, from beaded hats to hand-tooled boots.

The overall Palm Springs WestFest is more interactive and educational than ever this year, and best of all, it's only $5 admission. Admission includes all attractions, except the PRCA rodeo.

The Frank Bogert Memorial Rodeo is ticketed separately. Tickets will go on sale in October. Meanwhile, a limited number of sponsorships and VIP tables are available at 800-664-5617
