Kelly Maben and Kaila Mussell Grace Cowgirl Living’s First Covers

Two female professional rodeo athletes have been selected as cover girls for Cowgirl Living Magazine, a new western lifestyle publication for women.
NFR barrel racer Kelly Maben is featured on the cover of Cowgirl Living’s Premiere Issue, which was released this week. Kelly is a full-time schoolteacher and mother in addition to her rodeo career. She successfully balances horses with a career and family, a struggle many of Cowgirl Living’s readers can identify with. Because one of the magazine’s goals is to help horsewomen better their lives outside the arena, Kelly’s advice on achieving balance was a perfect feature for the Premiere Issue.
Cowgirl Living’s second cover girl will be PRCA saddle bronc rider Kaila Mussell. Kaila is the only professional woman saddle bronc rider in the world. Thriving in a male-dominated sport has been no easy task but Kaila’s physical and mental toughness have helped her achieve her goals. Her story is sure to inspire cowgirls from all walks of life and empowering western women is an important part of Cowgirl Living’s mission. Kaila will be featured on the cover of the May/June issue of Cowgirl Living, which will be available April 16, 2008.
