Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Officials Announce Three Superstart Entertainrs

Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo officials announced today three exciting superstars as part of the lineup for the 2009 RodeoHouston™, as well as Value Days ticket options and RodeoHouston stage enhancements.

The Three Superstar entertainers

Wednesday, March 4 - Alan Jackson

Wednesday, March 11 - Reba McEntire

Wednesday, March 18 - Gary Allan

 

Value Days

All three Wednesdays (March 4, 11 and 18) during the 2009 Show will be designated as Value Days, with these incredible entertainment value options:

  • $10 Value Day Rodeo/Concert Ticket (includes Reliant Park admission)

  • In person at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Ticket Window on the second floor of Reliant Center, Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (free Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo 75th Anniversary Commemorative Cookbook for the first 5,000 orders of four tickets or more — available while supplies last)

RodeoHouston Entertainer Stage Enhancements

The RodeoHouston entertainer stage will feature dramatic changes for the 2009 Show.

  • Three walkways will extend 16 feet from the north, west and east sides of the stage so that the entertainer can get closer to the audience.
  • There will be more stage surface outside the turntable, making the stage look and feel larger.
  • More video (LED) screen space will be added for more video and graphic opportunities.
    • New header video screen will be placed above eight main video screens for more informational opportunities during the rodeo action.
    • New vertical video screen will be placed between eight main video screens to alert fans to important calls during the rodeo action (broken barriers, penalty flags, etc.).
    • Video screens will be placed around the bottom of the stage during the concert to allow performers more video integration.
    • There will be full-motion video screens behind the entertainer/band to allow entertainers to customize the video and other backgrounds.

Season and Mini-Season Tickets Are Still Available

The only sure way to see all 20 performances is with Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Season Tickets. Season Tickets start as low as $312, which includes a $10 handling fee. There are ample Season Tickets available.

Mini-Season Tickets, with nine great performances in each option, can be purchased for $181 in the loge level, which includes a $10 handling fee. Mini-Season Ticket seating is in the loge and upper levels of Reliant Stadium.

Black Heritage Day, Friday, March 6, and Go Tejano Day, Sunday, March 15, will be sold as individual tickets and are not included in the Mini-Season Ticket options. The full 2009 RodeoHouston lineup will be announced Jan. 12, 2009. Individual tickets will go on sale Saturday, Jan. 17.

 

How to Purchase Season and Mini-Season Tickets

Season and Mini-Season Tickets can be purchased by calling the Show’s Ticket Office at 832.667.1080, or, by visiting the Show’s Ticket Office on the second floor of Reliant Center. The Show’s Ticket Office is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Season Tickets and Mini-Season Tickets are NOT available at any other ticket outlet, including Ticketmaster. The Season Ticket and Mini-Season Ticket costs also include admission to Reliant Center, Reliant Arena, and the carnival.
