Big thrills in store for VFW Rodeo
[Jun. 23, 2009] Wimberley, Texas — Adding to the luster of this year’s Wimberley VFW Rodeo and Bull Riding at Veterans Park July 2-4 will be two stars of the national circuits — famed bull-fighter, clown and barrel man Leon Coffee and Professional Bull Riding favorite Rocky McDonald.
This year marks the 64th consecutive year of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Rodeo in Wimberley. The Professional Bull Riders Assn. (PBR) bull riding will kick off the three-day event on Thursday to be followed Friday and Saturday by a traditional pro-open rodeo sanctioned by the Cowboy’s Professional Rodeo Assn (CPRA).
