UPDATE: 10/26/2009 Cody's doctor took him off of the IVFluids this morning as Cody is now able to eat and drink and keep things down. Cody completed his last round of Chemotherapy on Thursday evening. They will meet with the transplant coordinator today or Wednesday and determine the transplant date. Cody will go home around November 17th for 2 weeks then return to KU the first of December for his transplant. His spirits are high today and he is enjoying the new webcam. More information will be made available as soon as we receive it. Please also remember that donations are still being taken to help with Christmas for Cody's family. Information for that is posted below. Rodeo Attitude has received word from Cody's mom Toni asking us to let all of Cody's rodeo friends know that Cody. On Monday October 19, 2009, was admitted to Kansas University Medical Center. Cody has relapsed and the AML Leukemia has returned. Cody will be in the hospital for 30 days, return home for 14 then be re-admitted to KU for 100 days at which point he will receive a bone marrow transplant. While the cancer return is bad news, the positive side is that there are 1000 bone marrow matches for Cody.

A few things.... Cody and his family will be spending Christmas in the hospital this year. Rodeo Attitude member, Ann Bruback of the Rodeo Attitude Sports Medicine Team will be taking donations of gift cards to places like Wal-Mart, Target, JCPenny etc so that we can take them to Toni at which time she will see that Cody and his sisters have gifts for Christmas. While we know that our economy is not the greatest, if you can even donate a gift card of $5, that will help. We need to keep everyone's spirits high. Let's not let this holiday season go by without helping out one of our rodeo families.

Here is all of the information needed:

To donate a gift card, please send it to:

Please remember that Cody can only have cards, balloons, phone calls, and stuffed animals. If you can visit Cody, please do so as keeping his spirits high is great for his recovery. if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 563-506-5208...

One last thing, please pass this information along to anyone you know..and PRAYERS are always welcome and needed.
