Rain doesn't dampen spirits at Tri-State Rodeo on Friday night
[Sep. 11, 2010] Fort Madison, IA - It was a wet mess in Fort Madison, Iowa at the Tri-State Rodeo on Friday night, but the show still went on. With straight down pours and a chilly temperature it made for a night to forget for the cowboys and a night of memories for the fans. Most of the fans weathered the storm and got in their seats by show time. However there were a few things that were not able to happen tonight because of the weather, one of those things being the world famous grand entry. The arena looked like a swimming pool full of mud and a bunch of horses running through in the grand entry would have made the footing for the contestants and livestock dangerous. The crowd didn't seem to be down and out with the weather, because Boyd Polhamus and Leon Coffey had the fans warmed up with laughs and giggles all night long. By Jeffery Lucus, Rodeo Attitude

Also out tonight in the bull riding was the 19th ranked bull rider in the PRCA world standings Howdy Cloud, and with two weeks left in the season of the PRCA the man on the bubble in the bull riding Beau Schroeder of China, Texas, he is only a few thousand dollars ahead of 16th place bull rider Jarrod Craig so its crunch time for Schroeder and he is hitting the road hard and making every stop count.
