Upcoming rodeo to benefit local arena
[Mar. 12, 2008] The Bogalusa Community Arena will sponsor a Tri-State rodeo at the Bogalusa Community Arena on March 28-29. The events will include bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, team roping, tie down calf roping, barrel racing, steer wrestling and bull riding.

UPRA spring rodeo returns to Civic Center
[Mar. 6, 2008] UPRA formed in 1979 with 200 members. Today UPRA's membership totals more than 1,200. UPRA sanctions more than 130 rodeos in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Louisiana and Arkansas. UPRA paid out more than $1.85 million at rodeo events in 2006.

[Feb. 11, 2008] The 2008 World’s Toughest Rodeo featuring Toughest Cowboy presented by Jagermeister was center stage at the Wachovia Spectrum in Philadelphia for the fifth stop on the nine stop tour. Eight cowboys remain alive in the ironmen of rodeo competition where the cowboys wear jerseys and ride in the three roughstock events in one night in a new match style competition and with only four stops left after Philadelphia, it is now or never for someone to make a move to separate them from the rest of the field .
 
BRETT HOFFMAN: Myers, Chapman enjoy successful Fort Worth event
[Feb. 10, 2008] After Cash Myers received a no time in the first round of tie-down roping at the Fort Worth Stock Show Rodeo, the former National Finals Rodeo qualifier from Athens was focused when he faced his second calf. Myers won the second round with a blistering time of 7.9 seconds and earned $5,686.
 
Riders get well-rested bulls in rodeo

When the dust settled on this rodeo revolution, where the ironmen of rodeo wear jerseys and ride in the new match style competition in three roughstock events, it was Erik Wolford capturing the tournament win, his first of the season.
