Ryan Gray finds comforts of home at SandHills Rodeo
[Jan. 4, 2009] ODESSA, Texas - It was good and bad for a couple of Odessa College rodeo team alumni.

Bareback rider Ryan Gray of Cheney, Wash., had the best score of the night, matching moves with the Harry Vold Rodeo Co. bronc Dust Devil for 84 points.

[Dec. 12, 2008] The World Series of Team Roping (WSTR) is well under way at the South Point Equestrian and Events Center... The first division of preliminary competition ended Wednesday with the first checks being written. The teams were split into three groups and had the opportunity to rope three steers within that rotation. The five fastest times in each rotation got a check.

Freestyle Bullfighting Thrills Crowd in Ulysses, KS
[Oct. 5, 2008] Fall Fest Bull Fest, a freestyle bullfighting competition sanctioned by the Midwest Bullfighters Association, was held Saturday, October 4th, at the Grant County Fairgrounds in Ulysses KS...Twelve men competed in a format which had 3 men in each of 4 rounds. The winner of each round came back for the Championship round. After facing two fighting bulls it was Cody Calkins who won the event championship.

2008 Mesquite Rodeo Season Closes Saturday September 27th - Races Close for Gold & Silver Buckles
[Sep. 26, 2008] The Mesquite Championship Rodeo closes the chutes on its 2008 season on Saturday (Sept 27), with several races for gold and silver championship buckles too close to call...One of the closest races is in saddle bronc competition. Loren Barber of Slate Shoals, entered on Friday, has taken the lead with $3,157 after winning $475 last weekend.
