Lancaster Event Center
When the gates opened at the Fayette County Fair Extreme Bullriding Tour stop in West Union, Iowa, it was their first time on the tour and the fans were ready to show their support.  The stands were packed and the riders and Extreme Team responded to their enthusiasm by putting on a "rock the house" show.  Announcer,  Matt Palmer, began the night by introducing the riders to the fans along with the staff and in no time the first gate was ready to open.  The action never stopped and when the last gate closed it was apparent that Fayette county has lots of bullriding fans.
The riders were riding for double points at this event and with an M & M Custom Camper as the prize the Year-end Champion will receive besides the money they were giving their all against the "Attack Pack" of the Double S Bull Company.  Eight men covered their bulls in the long go round and all eight came back in the short go to give the fans a repeat performance.  When the "cream of the crop" in the bull pen were brought out for the short go only two men were able to cover their bulls.  It was a newcomer to the Extreme Bullriding Tour, Josh Calson, that took home the championship by covering two bulls for 158 points.  Jed Ward also covered both bulls for 152 points giving him second place.  Last years Extreme Bullriding Champion, Jimmy Twedt,  finished in third place and despite and injury early in the season is letting everyone know he is back in action.  Jimmy is currently leading the Bullriders of America standings.

One of the first riders out of the chutes was Eric Reiling who was also doing double duty as one of the bullfighters for the night.  Eric's ride ended in a "crash" and he dislocated his "free" arm.  Eric who has also qualified for the Bullriding of America finals next weekend is hopeful to compete.  Funnyman, Allan Dessel, who is also a very accomplished bullfighter, finished the night doing double duty as a bullfighter.

After such a fun-filled night everyone is looking forward to a return stop in 2009!
