 Andy Smith claimed the Jerry
Nolte Memorial Buckle given to the champion of the Johnson County Ag and
Mechanical Society Extreme Bullriding Tour, Tecumseh, NE, in front of a capacity
crowd. Andy won the event by covering two bulls for 168 points
giving him a paycheck of $922.19. Five riders covered bulls in the long go
earning them a trip to the short go and paychecks for the night. The
junior bull riders were not as luck as no one was able to cover their
bulls and there were no qualifiers for the evening. Selected
as Bull of the Event was 992 B & W Painted Dessert. Painted
Dessert bucked off Will Roberts in the short go exhibiting the bucking
ability that has made him a featured bull. As
an added attraction there was a freestyle bullfighting competition by the
Midwest Bullfighters Association. Trent Ocshner scored an 82 point
fight for the victory and $400.00. Between the bull riding and the
bullfighting everyone was enjoying an action packed night that just got
better with the specialty acts of barrelman, Allan Dessel, Hugo, OK.
Besides his outstanding acts Allan and announcer, Russ Warren, never left
a moment of dull air in the arena. Following
the event the night was finished with a good ol' fashion cowboy dance. |
