Rodeo Attitude member, Woody Porter, selected numerous times as rodeo clown of the year by several different associations, was on hand to present Royal Wade with the illustrious Gold Buckle. Royal Wade Kimes joined the Rodeo Attitude Program and was made an honorary member of the Extreme Team of the Extreme Bullriding Tour this year. The Program and Tour presented the buckle in recognition of Royal Wade’s cowboy music that depicts the west and his outstanding work to help with the preservation of the image of the American cowboy. Cindy Meyers, CEO, of the Rodeo Attitude Program, stated, “In everything Wade does he embodies the image our program represents, that of the great cowboys throughout America’s history. We are proud to have him as a member and of the work he has done for the National Day of the Cowboy and his annual trail ride for charity.”

According to Todd Crase, a champion rodeo cowboy and co-founder of Extreme Bullriding Tour, Kimes has ridden in to fill the boots of the late and great Chris LeDoux. Todd was quoted as saying, “I don’t know where Royal Wade Kimes has been, but once I heard him live, I knew every rodeo cowboy needed to hear this guy.” Todd and Royal Wade agreed no one takes the place of Chris LeDoux, but they’re bettin’ Chris would say, “open the gate – let’s dance!”.
