The National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association Alumni will have their 17th Annual Reunion June 20 and 21, 2008 at the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming. The reunion will be held at the Parkway Plaza Hotel in Casper and the rodeo is in the Casper Events Center.

Past champions and contestants from the “eights”:1958, 1968, 1978, 1988, and 1998 will be honored and all former members of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association are invited to attend. The reunion, held during the final weekend of the College Finals Rodeo, is an opportunity to meet old friends and enjoy a great rodeo.

Activities include a hospitality room, meetings and introductions, and a luncheon.

“It is always great to hear the wonderful stories, happenings and mishaps, that make up the college rodeo experience” says Sylvia Mahoney, former rodeo coach and founder of the alumni group.

Rookie of the Year scholarships as well as team scholarships are given by the alumni. To raise funds for the team scholarship a saddle drawing will be held at the CNFR A beautiful hand tooled saddle will be given to the lucky ticket holder at the Saturday night performance. Tickets for the drawing will be available at the alumni booth in the Events Center. A portion of the proceeds from the drawing will go to the Central Wyoming Hospice in Casper in gratitude to the City of Casper for their hospitality over the years.
