July 21, 2010 (Pendleton, Oregon) – This year, one of the most prestigious rodeos in the West, the Pendleton Round-Up, introduces Let’er Buck Cologne as its official fragrance. Founded by Western Crossings, LLC, the unique fragrance for men is an officially licensed product of the Pendleton Round-Up. Let’er Buck Cologne joins the exclusive company of Pendleton Woolen Mills, Hood River Distillers, Inc. (Pendleton Whisky) and Vogt Silversmiths, among others – with a portion of all sales benefiting the Pendleton Round-Up. The design of this year’s packaging is meant to commemorate the one hundred year anniversary of the legendary rodeo. The cologne is set to launch September 15th during the Centennial Round-Up event, and will be sold in select stores throughout the Northwest as well as on www.LeterBuckCologne.com (locations to be announced shortly). Pre-orders will be available starting August 15th on www.LeterBuckCologne.com.
“The Round-Up isn’t well known for its sweet smells – so, it just made perfect sense when we were presented with the idea to make Let’er Buck Cologne our official fragrance,” says Troy LeGore, Licensing Committee Chairman for the Pendleton Round-Up. “I can’t believe no one thought of the idea sooner.”
In keeping with the nostalgia of the Round-Up’s history, the name ‘Let’er Buck’ is synonymous with the historical event, and the logo features the iconic bucking horse – both of which are registered trademarks of the Round-Up. The bottle sits in a durable metal base, secured with a metal cap to allow for easy travel. Available in 3.4 fl. oz. (100 ML.), the cologne retails for $69.
“We aim to align ourselves with quality partners when it comes to the use of our registered trademarks,” says Randy Severe, President of the Pendleton Round-Up. “We think the unique fragrance and packaging of Let’er Buck Cologne effectively captures the spirit of the West, and the Round-Up.”
Let’er Buck Cologne is also the official sponsor of WPRA NW Barrel Racer Jodi Hoctor and PRCA Steer Wrestler Blake Knowles (son of former National Finals Rodeo Saddle Bronc Riding Average Winner and current ESPN ProRodeo commentator Butch Knowles). Both Jodi and Blake will be competing in the Pendleton Round-Up this September.
