Two Team Ropings, Two Expanded Payouts in Glen Rose, TX

World Team Roping is making their presence known for two consecutive weekends starting at the end of June in Glen Rose, Texas. Bringing with them two 2008 Dodge Trucks and over $300,000 in cash and prizes. One Dodge Truck will be given at both events to the high point roper of the weekend. Take a look at the expanded payout in both of the WTR's. 20th place in the #9 will pay $2,000 and $2,500 in the #11. In the #9 roping not only will the winner of the roping win a saddle, but the highest placing #8 team and #7 team will also.

Classic Ropes Truck Classic will be held on June 28 - 29 is now open for entries. This is a # 9 roping capped at a #5.This will be a USTRC affiliated team roping and you must have a 2008 USTRC Classification card. You are roping for $150,000 in cash and prizes. High point roper will win a Dodge Truck. A maximum of 700 entries will be taken for Sunday. For a fax or mail in entry form click here. Entries will be taken by phone on June 23rd at 9:00 a.m. for Sunday entries only, and will remain open until full. Remember phone entries will only be taken if there is availability. You may enter onsite for Saturday only and the books will open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 8:30 a.m.

July 4th is a World Series of Team Roping 2008 Finale Qualifier. Books will open at 9:00 a.m. for all ropings. The #13 has no cap and the books close at 10:30 a.m. and rope at 11:00 a.m. The #11 will not close before 12:00 noon and is capped at a TRIAD #6 for heelers and the #10 books will not close before 2:00 p.m. and is also capped at a TRIAD #6 for heelers. All of these ropings are 4 steers for $150/roper and progressive after 1 steer. A roper may only enter each Division twice. TRIAD Numbers only and you must be a current USTRC Member. The Resistol Truck Classic will be held July 5 - 6. This roping is a #11 and capped at a #6. You must have a current 2008 USTRC Classification card. The books are now open for this event as well.
