Eight-time world champion's sons are rising to the top
[May 22, 2008] Eight-time world champion Roy Cooper's three sons, Clint, Clif and Tuf, have not won a world championship yet, but they are reagrded as top-notch hands on the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association tour. Observers say it's just a matter of when one of the three wins that first world title.
 
Red River Rodeo announces some changes
[May 22, 2008] Texas - After a half-century of existence, the Red River Rodeo will undergo a couple of new twists this year. A later June date and the debut of Professional Bull Riding are among the alterations, the Wichita County Mounted Patrol announced Wednesday.

Success opens doors for team ropers
[May 7, 2008] Team ropers Boogie Ray and Chance Kelton decided earlier this year they would get together and rope close to their respective homes. Just compete in small local events. Nothing big, like trying to make the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, the sport's world championship in Las Vegas.
 
2008 ushers in a new era in the Women's Professional Rodeo Association for women who rope.

60th Annual Women's Professional Rodeo Association World Finals set for Nov. 18-22 in Tulsa, OK
[May 5, 2008] The 2008 Women's Professional Rodeo Association will have a new home for their 2008 World Finals this year at the Expo Square in Tulsa, OK. The event, scheduled for November 18-22, will feature the best women in the rodeo business competing for world titles in team roping, breakaway roping, tie-down roping, bareback and bull riding. Barrel racing will also be featured and an event champion will be crowned but the world champion will be crowned at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, December 4-13. By Courtesy WPRA
