Head out to the rodeo: Inaugural team roping event takes place tonight in Paso[Aug. 24, 2007] Chad Nicholson and Duane Kelley know their way around a rodeo. And they’ve got some ideas about how to make the experience better — for cowboys and fans.
The result of the local men’s innovation will be on display tonight at the Paso Robles Event Center’s Main Grandstand Arena, where the first Professional Team Ropers event will be held.
International registry aims to round up rodeo injuries[Aug. 23, 2007] In order to improve the health of those who participate in rodeos, physicians and health care personnel who provide care in this setting launched last month a registry to record the most devastating injuries that occur in this sport. Work is also underway to analyze some of the medical-related data that already exist and set up a conference to bring together those who work in this area.
Rodeo Insider - Decatur roper's goal just got a bit closer[Aug. 23, 2007] Clint Cooper qualified for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in 2004, his only appearance at the Las Vegas championships. But after finishing second at an invitational Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association show last weekend in Caldwell, Idaho, the Decatur cowboy began a promising rally in his attempt to qualify for the 2007 edition.
Team roper from Midland has 'rodeo momentum'[Aug. 23, 2007] In rodeo, the term describing a series of quality, money-making performances is "rodeo momentum." If you have it, you do everything possible to keep it, and if you don't, you pray the rodeo gods look favorably on you during your next performance.

Red Lion rodeo champ heads to college, along with his horse[Aug. 20, 2007] Since he was just a boy, Kyle Myers has been working with his horse, Sleek Toy, to master the art of calf roping for the rodeo.
While Myers, 19, was learning to throw a rope around a calf's neck and quickly dismount, he was also training Sleek Toy to pull back on the rope just tight enough to keep the calf still while Myers rushed to tie its feet.
