Rodeo numbers down, even with big finish
[Jul. 10, 2009] Organizers at the 69th annual Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo took heart in a national trend of growing ticket sales earlier this week after a slight decline over the first two days. That optimism paid off with a sellout Friday night and another expected tonight.

[Jul. 10, 2009] COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Thursday night at Norris Penrose Stadium sounded a lot like the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo held annually in Las Vegas, Nev. with numerous well-known cowboys competing for top honors at the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo.
 
Berry, Nuce to enter rodeo Hall of Fame
[Jul. 9, 2009] he career of Virgil "Ace" Berry was winding down as Ted Nuce's gained momentum. Berry, the combo team roper and bareback rider, and Nuce, the unstoppable bull rider, had a lot in common. Both started young in rodeo, both merged quality and longevity and, on July 11 in Colorado Springs, both will be inducted to the ProRodeo Hall of Fame.
