Twin team ropers stand out
[Jul. 11, 2009] Twin brothers Jake and Jim Ross Cooper, sons of 1979 ProRodeo Hall of Fame inductee Roy Cooper, combined for a time of 4.4 seconds to lead Friday night’s team roping. The time puts the brothers, the first twins to compete together at the National Finals Rodeo in team roping, in a tie for third overall with two performances left today.
 
Rodeo breaks entry record
[Jul. 10, 2009] More than 600 entrants are participating in the James River Rodeo, officials said, a number that beats the record set two years ago. The James River Rodeo is set for 6:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
