The induction ceremony for the ProRodeo Hall of Fame Class of 2010 is a couple months away, but it’s not too early to book a flight or make hotel reservations for this year’s festivities, which run July 14-19 in Colorado Springs, Colo.

The 2010 class includes five celebrated stars in the sport from a variety of categories: Bennie Beutler (stock contractor), Rex Dunn (bullfighter), Denny Flynn (bull rider), Paul Mayo (bareback rider) and John McBeth (saddle bronc rider).

The induction ceremony is at 10 a.m. July 17 in the ProRodeo Hall of Fame Garden Area and is held in conjunction with the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo Days, July 14-17 at the Norris Penrose Event Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. The rodeo is a Silver stop on the Wrangler Million Dollar Tour presented by Justin Boots.

“We are extremely proud of the 2010 class and feel we have a wonderful lineup of activities for the inductees’ family and friends and all of those who will be attending,” said ProRodeo Hall of Fame Director of Events and Public Relations, Sammi Snow. “The induction ceremony is always moving and a fitting tribute to the contribution these great men have made to professional rodeo.”

This year’s host of ceremonies is ProRodeo Hall of Fame bullfighter Rob Smets, who also is a rodeo announcer and a member of the In Country Television broadcast team.

Along with the 32nd induction ceremony, events include the Special Rodeo (July 14), Cowboy Ball and After Party (July 16), the Second Annual Commissioner’s Classic Team Roping (July 17) and the 23rd Annual ProRodeo Hall of Fame Golf Tournament (July 19).
