East Helena Rodeo: Townsend’s Cameron wins steer wrestling[Jul. 14, 2008] For a local cowboy or cowgirl, winning at the East Helena Rodeo once is pretty sweet. Win twice and they’re in a select group. To take home a third title, well, that means they’re kind of a big deal around here...Townsend's Roddy Cameron knows the feeling after pulling out at five=second run to win his third steer-wrestling title in East Helena Sunday.
ProRodeo Hall of Famer Clem McSpadden dies at 82[Jul. 8, 2008] Clem McSpadden, a member of the ProRodeo Hall of Fame and an immensely popular political figure in his native Oklahoma, died at 10:51 p.m. July 7 at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston after a lengthy struggle with cancer.
