FORT WORTH ---Jordan Hooton set a goal to ride both of his bulls at Wednesday night's performance of Bull's Night Out. The Daingerfield, Texas, bull rider bucked off Tuesday night and made a promise to himself that he would come back Wednesday and win.
Hooton kept his promise and was also the only rider to cover two bulls during the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) Xtreme Bulls tour stop at the 114th annual Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo.
"My first bull was good, I liked him," Hooton said. "My second bull was just as good and I was going to ride him," he added.
This is the second Xtreme Bulls title for Hooton who won the Kitsap Stampede event in Bremerton, Washington back in August. Coincidently, he was the only rider to cover two bulls at that event as well.
Hooton is scheduled to be back in Fort Worth January 31st for the rodeo competition and plans to use this momentum to ride another two bulls and stake his claim for the title of 2010 FWSSR bull riding champion.
PRCA rodeo action kicks off this Friday night at 7:30 p.m. This will be the first of 30 performances through February 7, 2010.
